SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN
Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen....
It's how many creatives might be feeling right now.
Also...
This show is great, it's got David Lynch vibes, slow dread, folk horror, Kubrick style cinematography.
The main character, Rachel is getting married, but she can't keep feeling a sense of dread,
Blood in her dreams, dodgy icecream salesmen with yellow teeth, weird in laws who taxidermy their dogs.
Unlike most horror heroes, she actually takes notice and starts to make changes, cause how often do you see horrors where the main character is walking into the jaws of death, and it's completely obv to everyone but them.
In business, we're often blind to the jaws of death, we keep doing the same crap over and over and expect things to change.
Our client C sent me this message yesterday, and she's getting great results because she's not doing the same bad crap over and over.
She's learned what she needs to do to get results like this.
Fix her niche.
Fix her content.
Fix her sales process.
And like Rachel in SVBIGTH she's going to not only survive, but survive and thrive in a pretty crazy hostile environment that all creatives are facing right now.
So stop ignoring the bleeding noses, the weird wooden totems, the spooky snowy house.
Pull out your chainsaw, and be the final (girl/dude/person).
And do this
Get clear on who you serve - decide on the 3-5 most common pain points they have that you serve.
Fix your bio on IG - tell IG who you work for.
Write 3-5 pieces of content about how you solve a specific problem for a specific type of business in your niche.
Post them all
Rinse repeat.
The problem most designers have is NOISE and to break through - you need to be the person in the movie shouting “watch out for the axe wielding maniac” not the person going “be careful everyone!”
