The mindset of a six fig Creative.

Fellow designer, u haven't done enough reps to get what you want... yet.

I was talking to a designer the other day - they said, I've been doing like 5-10 outreach a day and I'm not getting many leads yet.

So I gave it straight.

"You haven't earned that business yet because you haven't done what you have to do to get there... yet.

It's not enough.

That's when you're new, when you're setup you should have built a

Clear picture of your ideal client.
Measure and record at least 2-4 leads per week.
Create content for your niche to build your brand every week.

Not, when you feel like it.

That buzz is for freelancers.

You're time poor, I get it - I feel it and I know it!

It feels unnatural - I get that too.

Fear of rejection fucks with you - been there (and if I can do it you can).

So some of you won't do it at all and that's fine.

When you're posting content - and it doesn't hit right- you might have a tendency to say 'that didn't work' or 'my other stuff worked better'. The truth is until you've created 500-1000 pieces of content to your market you really don't know what lands and what doesn't - so keep trying, testing and working at it.

When you make an offer - and it doesn't get engagement - you don't say 'that doesn't work' and stop. You rework the offer and try again next week. Don't stop making offers, don't build another freebie or paidie (TM) just rework how you talk about that offer.

When you do outreach and you say 'i did 20 and no one responded, I did 50 and no one responded' - do 50 more, 100 more.

When you get busy, don't stop marketing, you know it doesn't serve you, you know you've done it before, and you know it won't help you. What will is consistency.

You can't base your assumptions, or decision making on trying something once or when you get in a bind.

If you do, you'll get stuck in that loop of - "try cold emailing - didn't' work" - "tried content - didn't work" and not learn anything.

And it goes back to 'when I've got time'.

Fine if you are content.

But content doesn't build a great design business that is profitable, lasting, trusted, and one that your clients are proud to talk about.
