The ‘Get clients’ blind spots for Creatives

They don’t need me because….

They have killer branding.

Their website is amazing.

They’re working with ‘insert big name agency’.

Thing is, if you had this idea in mind you’d think your only market was startups, and rebrands/refreshes who come to you directly.

You’d only be able to sell to people just getting started.

Understand there are three big reasons why this is untrue.

Some clients will need you in future so start the relationship now.
Some clients will have a provider they aren’t happy with and this is where you fit in.
Some clients will have their shit sorted but have other things they want or need help with.

So if you’re doing outreach, or have a referral system like our Creative Referral Partnerships model - instead of asking.

Do they need me now?

Ask.

Could they use me now or in future?

Could I add value to their business?

Would it be beneficial for me for them to know who I am an what I do?

This is old school prospecting at its finest.

And it’s the first step to breaking out of the ‘wait and see’ mentality of word of mouth and take control of your business growth.
